BURSTs of Faith has been a work in progress for many years. As a Christian author and speaker, I’ve had the HUGE honor of meeting some really incredible people over the years. I’ve listened to stories that encouraged and inspired me and also been the listener to stories that were more sorrowful than a human could ever imagine. Through all of these amazing opportunities, I’ve found it difficult to stay in touch with my sisters in Christ and new friends along the way.
“BURSTs of Faith” is that way. It is communication between YOU and me. It is a place where we will share together this road of life, a place where we can live ‘outside the bubble’ and grow in faith while following Christ. Are you with me? If so, let’s go…
We’ve all heard the saying “I hate to burst your bubble, but ________________” Most likely we’ve said it a time or two. Well I’m saying to you today:
I’d love to BURST your bubble, and pour in some faith!
What’s your bubble? It may be a routine that needs a tweak. It may be a view that needs challenged. It may be so many things, but you’ll know if you’re living in a bubble—let’s face it—we all do, and that’s NOT a bad thing. It’s our norm; our comfort zone; security, etc… There is nothing wrong with bubbles unless we are miserable and discontent and grumble and complain about them. Then, maybe we should look for ways to constructively BURST our bubble. That’s what BURSTS of Faith is for. Through this blog, we will find ways that we can burst our bubbles to live more devotedly for Christ. Because after all, Jesus was the biggest bubble burster of all—read the red-letter words of the Gospels and you will see bubbles being burst left and right whenever Jesus was on the scene. Below is one of my favorites:
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
Jesus is the light of the world and, as his followers, we too have a light to shine so that others may see Jesus in us. During the month of November I am offering my friends, colleagues and clients a FREE section of my book, Take 21: Bursts of Quiet With God.
Because November is a month to reflect on all that we are grateful for, I encourage you to join me this month and GET YOUR GRATITUDE GLOW ON with a FREE copy of an excerpt from my book. Take 21: Gratitude for Simple Blessings is a morning adventure of faith.
Through Bursts of Faith and The Center for ELITE Women Communicators, I want to use every God-given gift within me to pour into my family, friends, colleagues and clients the best of who He has created me for. If I didn’t offer back to God all that He has wired within me, then I would only live half the life He has given me. Mediocrity is not for any of us, we are worth SO much more in our Lord’s eyes, so Take on the Day! Be Thankful!Be Ready! Be Loving! and…
Be a Bubble Burster!
