Last week I mentioned that change is in the air, and it sure is. Although I was referring to my work and life, this week I cannot help but think of our fellow Americans in Texas and Louisiana who have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey and find themselves in the midst of a life-altering change. May we keep all of them in our prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Also, I know many of your are looking for ways to help out, I recommend the good work done by Samaritan’s Purse.
During various stages of work and life, we all need a helping hand. Someone to come alongside us and help us move forward, lend a new perspective and push us toward pursuing a purposeful path — a Lifeline of sorts. At other times, we are the ones who can offer the hand to someone who needs it. It’s at these times that we get to…
That’s why I’m excited to encourage women who are on a mission to reach out and share with others the talents and skills and experiences that they have that can benefit others. God designed us all with unique abilities and he intended for us to use them to serve others. Now, that is some exciting stuff! You have the opportunity to get out there and help in whatever capacity that you are skilled and experienced to do your good work. Others are waiting for what you are offering!
What we sometimes forget in the scurrying and hurrying around to do our good work, however, is to make sense of it all. I have a few simple suggestions that have helped me tremendously, and they are:
- Praying and asking what God wants instead of rushing ahead and doing what we want.
- Seeking wise counsel from someone who has done or is successfully doing what we are wanting to do.
- Putting a powerful and purposeful plan in place.
- Connecting with others who can point us in the right direction and hold us accountable.
In our efforts to do good work, we in turn need help.
In our effort to BE A LIFELINE, we may just NEED A LIFELINE!
Offering mission-oriented women inspirational products, accountability groups and creative communication services is a way that I am coming alongside women who are ready for “what’s next” in their various roles including: work, life and faith. To offer a hand and act as a lifeline in those areas that are most needed.
There’s a world out there just waiting for what you are offering, don’t let them down, instead,
go and BE A LIFELINE!
